My Vitamin and Suppliment Routine

For years I would not take any vitamins or supplements. I was "on strike." Why? Because I felt overwhelmed by what to take - what brand - which vitamin, which supplement, what dosage? Capsule, tablet? It seemed too complicated and expensive.

Then came the fatigue AND insomnia AND ...

Long story short I learned first hand how important it is eat, drink and be merry. And I found out what supplements to take at a price that is very, very right. Click here to visit the Fatigue Be Gone Supplements Page and update your regimen.

10 Ways to Boost Your Energy TODAY.

1. How do you break-your-fast?
2. Just Say No.
3. Get help. Don't be shy.
4. Turn it off.
5. Love someone.
6. Live Your Own Life.

It is exhausting to live someone else's life. I know because I have tried and tried.
So why do it?

Because you've been doing it forever so it feels natural. (I started rescuing broken winged birds when I was five and my brother became disabled.)

Because you feel fearful of something and that turns into an overwhelming need to control. If only he/she would eat, sleep, work more, work less, gain weight, lose weight ... then I could relax, be happy, work more, work less, eat more, eat less ..

Putting your life on hold until someone else's life changes to suit you is a no-win, fatiguing, dispiriting downer way to live. Well you're not really living, you are waiting to live. Big difference.

When you love someone you also respect them. You trust them to make the best choices for themselves. You have faith that they have a higher power and guardian angel protection, just like you.

Respect ... trust ... faith. How do you feel when someone gifts you that? On fire.

Energy Boost Tips - Walk Away & Hold It

Walk Away

Toxic relationships can lead to poor mental, physical and emotional health. Nearly everyone involved in one becomes stressed out and ends up suffering from chronic fatigue, insomnia, and a host of other ailments.

If you're in a toxic relationship that's sucking you dry, you don't have to stay. You can literally walk away. And while it might be easier said than done, eliminating toxic people from your life can be the most liberating and empowering experience you can give yourself. Keep reading and you'll find resources to help you break free.

Hold It!

People who are negative and angry all the time are frequently referred to as Energy Vampires because they suck the life out of you. These Energy Vampires can be friends, family, co-workers, business associates, or customers.

When dealing with Energy Vampires on the phone, a simple solution is called Hold It! It's simple. Just ask them to "Hold It." Push that hold button and take a break from the conversation. Take the time you need to collect your thoughts, breathe deeply (through your nose and out your mouth) and relax. Then, when you are ready, get back on the line and handle the situation calmly.

Feeling victimized is exhausting. Remember - YOU have choices. Use them!

Pssst… Need help managing "boundaries" and knowing how to spot unhealthy relationships? Here are a couple of easy-does-it conversations that are available to you 24/7. Come on over and listen in!

A Stay At Home Mom’s Day Off Starts Today

Time saving, sanity saving, energy raising tips for Stay-At-Home Moms

No matter what is going on or how busy you may be there is still one thing you have to do everyday. Several times a day. You Eat. When you're a mom you feed others too. When you are a stay at home mom that means, Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Breakfast, lunch, arggggggg!

Mom, do you want a day off. This week? You can have it every week with these time saving, stay at home mom saving tips.

Save Time, Double Up And, get a mom's day off from cooking. One way is to "double up." Specifically, double up every dinner recipe you make this month. Gonna cook for four? Cook for eight instead. One meal goes on the table, the other goes in the fridge.

Another way is to "add extra." Your recipe calls for a cup of rice and a pound of spinach? Make it a cup and half and a pound and a half. What you don't eat for dinner turns into a microwave lunch. Still a little "left over"? Freeze it!

Your goal mom - should you decide to take it on - is to cook double enough and extra enough so that you don't have to cook at all for at least one day a week! We'll call that day, Mom's Day Off!

Save Sanity. Swap with another Stay At Home Mom - And, take half a day off from your kids. So many women left mom, grandma and their sisters behind, in another state, when they married the love of their lives. That's fine and dandy, but they are paying the -- click here to read on --

Just came across this very cool interview on Heal Yourself Talk Radio.

In between now and that fantasy world I clip out articles and hunt up FREE advice on the Internet. That is how I came across this interview with Rebecca While, founder, Heal Yourself Talk Radio and Carols of Carol's Scents-n-Soaps.

So, if you are interested in how to start a medicinal herb garden, what plants and herbs are medicinal "musts" and more. Click here to go to the show page and learn "how to."

Tired all the time?

If you are you sick and tired of feeling tired, join the crowd. According to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), Sleep In America Poll 2007 ...

*More than half of American women (60%) say they only get a good night’s sleep a few nights per week or less and 67% say they frequently experience a sleep problem.

*43% say that daytime sleepiness interferes with their daily activities.
*Women’s lack of sleep affects virtually every aspect of their time-pressed lives, leaving them late for work, stressed out, too tired for sex and little time for their friends.

*Women who spend less than 7 hours in bed at night are more likely to doze off during the day, report symptoms of depression, drive drowsy and use coping mechanisms just to make it through their day.

Now, suffering is optional. So is membership in this club. If you are ready to make a change and help yourself get out of this rut, order the Fatigue Be Gone Jumpstart Guide.

Healing Benefits of Valerian Root

Excerpt from a "must read" article by Kathy Browning.

Valerian has been used around the world for centuries. During the middle ages it was used as a perfume. Native Americans used the valerian plant as a substitute for flour, as well as to treat horses with distemper. In the early 19th century, Shakers grew valerian as a principle cash crop. It was given to soldiers and civilians during World War I, to assist with stress and anxiety. German women used valerian as a coffee substitute and the British used valerian as a soup base. Today, valerian is the most common non-prescription sedative used in Europe.

One the most well-known affects of valerian is its ability to promote sleep and aid with insomnia. Valerian is not an addictive substance and does not leave one feeling tired and disoriented like some sleep aids.

Another health benefit of valerian is its ability to help alleviate the effects of stress and anxiety. Valerian has also proven useful in alleviating headaches, reducing pain, improving menstrual flow and cramps, and as an aid with symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

STRESSED out? Unhealthy Responses to Stress only make it worse.

5 Of The Most Common Stress Monkey Habits and how they affect you:

If you tend to deal with stress in less-than-healthy ways, you are compounding the negative impacts of stress on your health by exacerbating the stress levels and creating new problems in your life and health. The following are some common unhealthy ways of coping with stress, along with some of the negative effects of each, and ideas on how to curb or change the bad habit itself or lessen its impact.

Bad Habit #1 - Consuming Too Much Caffeine: (Yep, did this one.)

Multitudes of people enjoy a daily caffeine intake, as evidenced by the extreme popularity of Starbucks and other coffee houses. And while the occasional coffee isn't going to do you great harm, it's important to remember that caffeine is, in fact, a drug, and it's possible to have a full-blown caffeine addiction. More likely and common, however, is caffeine dependence, where people use caffeine to jump-start their energy in the morning, use it throughout the day to stave off a `caffeine crash', and then find their sleep disturbed by caffeine, causing them to wake up tired and need the caffeine jolt to get going again the next day. As the cycle continues, caffeine affects stress levels as well. If this sounds a little too familiar, here are some resources to help kick the caffeine habit.

Bad Habit #2 - ... What could it possibly be? (I did this one too. first thing in the morning, all day long, last thing at night.)

10 Ways to Boost Your Energy TODAY.

1. How do you break-your-fast?
2. Just Say No.
3. Get help. Don't be shy.
4. Turn it off.
5. Love someone.

Nothing energizes like Love. Nothing feels better than leaving our own worries and pains behind and putting everything we have, everything we are and every breath we take into loving someone.

Years ago a mentor told me to "focus outward - outside myself" whenever I was feeling badly.

"Call a friend and cheer them up - do something, anything to get the focus off of yourself" she would say. Excellent advice and it really works.

Try it, you'll like it. So, who will you call first? Can I help you decide?

Whoever came to mind first when you were reading this. That's who.

Nine Tips to Help Moms Overcome Fatigue and Insomnia

9 Moms helping moms sleep tight – TONIGHT!

It's cruel how fatigue AND insomnia oftentimes go hand-in-hand; especially for women. This is particularly true for moms who have endless "To Do" lists and are constantly on the go. With so much to do and think about, it's no wonder so many women feel tired and wired all the live-long day (and night).

As a woman who was suffering with both fatigue and insomnia, I was desperate to find answers. Personally, I didn't want to turn to prescription medications, although it was quite tempting. In a quest to find answers I scoured the Internet and talked with professionals, friends and sleep deprived moms. Through this research I discovered a common theme.

Today, I share nine tried-and-true Sleep and Sanity Saving Tips which can help you close your weary eyes and get some much needed rest.

Tip #1. Buddy up and get the support you need. Many new mothers lie awake at night worrying about whether ... Click here fto read the rest of the article

Eat This for Better Blood Sugar and Energy Balance

Eat This for Better Blood Sugar a.k.a. balanced energy throughout your day.

Question for you. When you want to grab a blood-sugar-balancing snack, which is better:
a fresh apple or a slice of rye toast?

Answer. Go for the bread -- as long as it's whole grain.

Getting about 17 grams of grain fiber a day (the kind found in whole-grain breads and
cereals) could slash type 2 diabetes risk by a third, research shows.
And rye bread seems to steady blood sugars best.

When it comes to preventing type 2 diabetes, controlling blood sugar
is what it's all about. And fiber keeps blood sugar nice and steady,
so you don't get glucose spikes that send your pancreas into
overdrive.

For more on this topic, click here

Psst. Feel like a piece of burnt toast throughout the day? Or maybe your brains feel like scrambled eggs? You might be suffering from adrenal fatigue. Take our free Fatigue Questionnaire at http://fatiguebegone.com/tired_woman_quiz.htm to discover the true causes of fatigue.

10 Ways to Boost Your Energy TODAY.

1. How do you break-your-fast?
2. Just Say No.
3. Get help. Don't be shy.
4. Turn it off.

I remember the first time I heard the term "News Fast." I was reading an Andrew Weil book and I did a double take. What? A day without news? A day without boiling over something someone did or did not do. A day without worrying about strangers or taking on a new cause. A day without EXTRA guilt, stress, sadness and strife. What a concept. Am I permitted?

T.V., radio, Internet, e-mail, blackberries, newspapers, telephones ... yes it comes at us fast from everywhere but we can just say no - not today.

Ahhhhhhhh. Feeling more relaxed just thinking about it. Imagine how good it will feel when you actually do it. Twenty-four hours of peace. Twenty-four hours of keeping the focus on your precious present, on yourself and YOUR life.

I like it. You will too.

Act as if it were impossible to fail.

"All that is necessary to break the spell of inertia and frustration is this: Act as if it were impossible to fail."– Dorothea Brande

Reminds me of another saying, "In a bacon and eggs breakfast the chicken was involved but the pig was committed."

Perhaps today - NOW - is a good time for you to take action and commit to your health ... you are just 8 easy steps away from feeling GREAT.

Boost Your Energy with "Portable Reiki"

I just laid me down and gave myself a pick-me-up thanks to this cool little book called "Portable Reiki Easy Self-Treatment for Home, Work and on the Go"

I love the way it shows and tells "how to." The photos are excellent and its titles make it easy to choose what to do. For example I have been on the verge of a full blown migraine all morning and I've been feeling stressed over a loved ones health problem.

So ... I chose to do the "Settling Down, Calming Down" series which consists of three hand positions to 1) strengthen the kidneys, adrenal glands ... 2) reduce stress, enhance clarity of thought and intuition and position 3) harmonized both sides of my brain, helps memory and brings on the joy.

Doesn't get much better than that!

Other series include: Chakra Balancing, Nonsense Meditation!, Unjamming the Traffic, Plane Travel, Grounding, Sleep Help, Quick Work De-stresser, Getting Your Head Together, Four Quick Pick Me Ups and Reiki to Refresh Your Energy.

Results of my hands on self-healing? Feeling more energized and that migraine headache is fading back. It is almost gone and so it that nagging anxiety over my friend. Cool beans.

EFT ends Insomnia for Terry

I have been meaning to post this tip from Terry Hernon MacDonald, the founder of http://www.happygirlmusing.com/ -- If you are suffering from insomnia maybe you can relate to what T. shares and try EFT for yourself. And, if you have a tip or technique that is helping you sleep tight -- do share.

If you're having trouble sleeping, I can relate.

After my mother died, I woke up in the middle of the night for 13 straight months with panic attacks. My sister said it was time I "got a prescription," but, fearing long-term side effects, I made a decision to avoid drugs.

I read somewhere about EFT being an effective, drug-free solution to physical and emotional problems and arranged to meet with Alison Held, an EFT practitioner in my area. Amazingly, after just one session with her, I slept through the night and continued to sleep through the night.

The great thing about EFT is that it's simple. It doesn't involve equipment. You can use on yourself, or with a friend or a practitioner. EFT has helped people lose weight, end migraines, enjoy restful sleep, and much more. I consider it a small miracle.
